Hhhhmmm

Trying to work out if Nathan Hauritz is bowling well or whether the Poms are just tossing away their wickets as the pressure is mounting.

So far he has picked up decent wickets in this match getting out the likes of Strauss and Pietersen....

Thoughts?

Well that is a good question. Overall, I think Hauritz did a decent job, much better then the English spinners. I'm not sure what they were doing. The pitch wasn't a big turner either. In a batsmen friendly condition, I feel he did a pretty OK job. If you look at the wickets he took, none of them were extraordinary deliveries. Pietersen was a big wicket but it was his fault for playing a dumb shot. Strauss's wicket was decent but none of the other deliveries really stand out. I just feel it was the batsmen's fault then a great performance from Hauritz. Although, certainly better then all the English bowlers combined.

I'm still a bit surprised to his inclusion in the team. Ponting must really see something in him. He is an average bowler but you have to give credit to him for picking up wickets. I still feel he is defensive bowler and not an attacking one. Very odd to see Australia touring with one specialist spinner but then again, nothing has really surprised me with the Australian selections lately.

I agree its weird to see an Aussie side touring with such a light looking attack.

I assume he would have sat out if Brett Lee had been fit.

Although he did hold his end up and contributed some wickets
